Frequently asked questions

What size is a passport photo in India?

Indian passport photos are 35×45 mm (3.5×4.5 cm). Indian visa applications usually need 51×51 mm (2×2 inch). Both sizes are available here.

How do I print the photos at the right size?

Download the print sheet as a PDF and print it at “Actual size” (100%, not “Fit to page”). A 4×6 inch sheet can be printed at any photo shop.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device.

Can I change the background to white?

Use our Background Remover first to get a white background, then bring that image here to crop it to passport size.

Will my photo be accepted?

We make the size and print layout right, but acceptance also depends on your photo: face the camera, neutral expression, even lighting, plain light background and no glasses glare. Check your country's official rules.
