Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information HQ8T (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website and how it is used.

Files you use with our tools

Most HQ8T tools process files entirely in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see, store or share them. If a tool ever needs to send data to a server, its page will say so clearly before you use it.

Some tools download helper files to your browser the first time you use them. For example, the Background Remover downloads an AI model from Hugging Face. Only the model is downloaded; your images are never sent.

Information collected automatically

To learn which tools are useful, we count page views and tool uses (a download or copy button being pressed) with our own privacy-friendly analytics. For each visit we record the page, the website that linked to us, the device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and the country. We do not use cookies for this and do not store your IP address: unique visitors are counted with a one-way code that changes every day and can't be traced back to you. The contents of your files and what you type into tools are never recorded.

We may also use Google Analytics, which collects similar anonymous usage data and may use cookies, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

Cookies and local storage

We store your light/dark theme preference, and in some tools your last entries (for example a resume you are writing), in your browser’s local storage on your own device. If you install HQ8T as an app, pages you open are saved on your device so they work offline. Google Analytics and advertising partners may use cookies as described here.

Advertising

HQ8T may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Accounts

Free tools do not require an account. If optional accounts are introduced (for example, to save invoices), this policy will be updated to describe what is stored and why.

Children

HQ8T is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
