Image Compressor
Shrink JPG, PNG and WebP images without visible quality loss.
How to use
- 1Choose one or more images (JPG, PNG or WebP), or drag and drop them into the box.
- 2Set the quality. 70–80% keeps photos looking great at a much smaller size.
- 3Optionally shrink very large photos and pick an output format.
- 4Click “Compress images” and download each file or all of them as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Is the image compressor free?
Yes. Compress as many images as you like, free, with no sign-up or watermark.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens in your browser using your device, so your photos never leave it.
Which quality setting should I use?
70–80% is the sweet spot for photos: files get much smaller with no visible difference. Go lower for the smallest files, higher for print.
Why is my PNG not getting much smaller?
PNG is a lossless format, so the quality setting doesn't apply to it. Choose WebP or JPG as the output format for big savings, or resize the image.
What if a compressed image is bigger than the original?
Then your original is already well optimized, and we keep the original file for you instead of a bigger one.
