Looking for devices…
Open this page on your other phone or computer connected to the same Wi-Fi. It will appear here automatically.
Other device not showing? Pair with a code
Show a code on this device:
Devices on the same Wi-Fi appear automatically. Use a code when they are on different networks (for example mobile data and Wi-Fi), or when the router gives each device a different public address.
Files go directly between the two browsers over an encrypted WebRTC connection; HQ8T only passes short connection messages. Keep this page open on both devices until the transfer finishes.
How to use
- 1Open this page on both devices, connected to the same Wi-Fi.
- 2On the sending device, choose files or type a message.
- 3Tap the other device in the list.
- 4On the other device, tap Accept, then Save the files.
Frequently asked questions
How is this like LocalSend?
Devices on the same Wi-Fi find each other automatically, and the receiver accepts or declines each transfer. Unlike LocalSend, nothing to install — it runs in the browser.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Files go directly between the two browsers over an encrypted WebRTC connection. Our server only passes short connection messages.
The other device doesn't appear. What now?
Make sure both are on the same Wi-Fi (not guest Wi-Fi) and VPN is off. Otherwise open “Pair with a code” and enter the 6-digit code on the other device — this also works across different networks.
Is there a size limit?
Up to 2 GB per file. The receiving browser keeps files in memory until you tap Save, so very large files need free RAM.
Which devices work?
Any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Samsung Internet on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux. Keep the page open on both devices during the transfer.
