Frequently asked questions
What is a JSON path?
A way to point at one value, like $.tools[0].slug. Click any value to copy its path for use in code, jq or JSONPath queries.
How large a file can I open?
Up to 10 MB. Big arrays show the first 100 items with a Show more button so the page stays fast.
Why does it say invalid JSON?
The error shows the line and column. Common causes are trailing commas, single quotes and unquoted keys.
Can I format the JSON too?
Use our JSON Formatter to pretty-print or minify; the viewer is for exploring.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you paste is sent to a server.
