Frequently asked questions

What does a salary slip include?

Company details, employee details, earnings (Basic, HRA, allowances), deductions (PF, professional tax, TDS), gross pay, total deductions and net pay.

How is PF calculated?

Employee PF is 12% of Basic (plus DA). Most employers cap it at a wage limit of ₹15,000, which is ₹1,800 a month; the button uses that rule.

Can I add my own earnings or deductions?

Yes. Add, rename or remove any row, such as bonus, overtime, loan recovery or advance.

Is the net pay written in words?

Yes. The PDF shows the net pay in figures and in words using the Indian system (lakh, crore).
