Frequently asked questions
What is URL encoding?
URLs can only contain certain characters. URL (percent) encoding replaces others, like spaces, Hindi text or &, with codes such as %20, so the link works everywhere.
Component or Full URL — which should I use?
Use Component for a single value you'll put in a link, like a search term. Full URL keeps characters like : / ? & = so the address stays valid.
Why does + appear instead of spaces sometimes?
HTML forms encode spaces as +. Tick “Treat + as space” when decoding such query strings.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Encoding and decoding happen in your browser.
Can it show the parameters of a long tracking link?
Yes. Paste the full link and every query parameter is listed with its decoded value.
