Frequently asked questions
How many units does a full charge take?
About the battery size divided by charging efficiency. A 30 kWh battery from 0 to 100% draws roughly 33 units from the meter.
Why is public charging costlier?
DC fast chargers charge ₹18–25 per unit plus GST, compared with ₹6–9 at home, but they're much quicker.
Why charge only to 80%?
Charging slows down after 80%, and staying between 20% and 80% day to day is gentler on the battery.
Is EV really cheaper than petrol?
With home charging, running cost is usually ₹1–1.5 per km versus ₹6–8 for a petrol car.
