Frequently asked questions
Which voices are available?
Voices come from your device and browser. Android and Chrome usually include Hindi (hi-IN) and Indian English voices; Windows, macOS and iPhone have their own sets.
Can I download the audio as MP3?
Not yet. Browsers play speech directly and don't give websites the audio file. To record it, use your device's screen or audio recorder.
Is my text sent to a server?
Usually not. Most voices run on your device. Some browsers, like Chrome, may use online voices marked “Google”, which send text to that provider.
Is there a length limit?
Long texts are split into sentences automatically so reading doesn't stop halfway.
Why is there no sound?
Check your volume and that a voice is selected. Some browsers need a moment to load voices the first time.
