Frequently asked questions
Which browsers support voice typing?
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on computers and Android, and Safari on iPhone and Mac. Firefox doesn't support it yet.
Is my voice recorded or stored?
We don't record or store anything. Recognition is done by your browser's speech service; in Chrome and Edge that service is online (Google or Microsoft), so avoid dictating very sensitive information.
How do I add a full stop in Hindi?
Say “पूर्ण विराम” for । and “नई लाइन” for a new line. In English say “full stop”, “comma” or “question mark”.
Why does it stop listening?
Browsers pause after silence. The tool restarts automatically until you press Stop. If it stops completely, check your internet connection.
How can I get better accuracy?
Use a quiet room, speak at a normal pace and keep the microphone close. A headset mic works better than a laptop mic.
