Frequently asked questions
Why is no text found in my PDF?
The PDF is probably a scan or made of photos, so it has no real text. Use our Image to Text (OCR) tool, which reads scanned PDFs.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Text is extracted inside your browser, so your file stays on your device.
Does it keep the formatting?
It keeps line breaks and paragraphs but not fonts, colours or tables. It's plain text, ready to paste anywhere.
Does it work with Hindi PDFs?
It works when the PDF stores real Unicode text. Some older Hindi PDFs use special fonts, which can come out as garbled letters.
Is there a page limit?
You can extract text from PDFs up to 100 MB and 1,000 pages.
