Frequently asked questions
A key doesn't light up. Is it broken?
Possibly. Press it a few times and firmly. Some keys like Fn, Print Screen or media keys are handled by your computer and never reach the browser.
What is keyboard ghosting?
When you hold several keys and some presses aren't detected. Hold keys together and watch “Most keys held at once”. Gaming keyboards usually allow 6 or more.
Why is the Windows key not shown on my laptop?
Windows often opens the Start menu before the browser sees the key. That doesn't mean it's broken.
Does it record what I type?
No. Key presses are only shown on this page and aren't saved or sent anywhere.
How do I leave the tester with the keyboard?
Press Escape, then Tab, to move focus out of the tester.
