Frequently asked questions
What does 'age as on' a date mean?
It is the cut-off date on which your age is counted, such as 1 August 2026. Your age on that day decides eligibility.
How is the upper age limit counted?

How much age relaxation do categories get?
For most central government jobs: OBC 3 years, SC/ST 5 years and PwBD 10 years (13 for OBC, 15 for SC/ST). Some exams and states differ.
Can I add ex-servicemen or other relaxation?
Yes. Enter extra years in the relaxation box, or choose Custom.
Is this an official eligibility check?
No. It follows the usual rules, but always confirm with your official notification.
