Frequently asked questions

How is attendance percentage calculated?

Attendance % = classes attended ÷ classes held × 100. For example, 45 out of 60 classes is 75%.

How many classes do I need to reach 75%?

If you attend every class from now on, you need x more classes where (attended + x) ÷ (held + x) = 0.75. The calculator works this out and rounds up.

How many classes can I miss?

If you're above the target, it shows how many classes in a row you can skip and still stay at or above it.

Does it work for 80% or 85% rules?

Yes. Change the required attendance to any percentage your college uses.

Should I track each subject separately?

Most colleges check attendance per subject, so run the calculator for each subject with its own numbers.
