Frequently asked questions
Is there a watermark or time limit?
No watermark and no fixed time limit. Long recordings use more memory, so save in parts for very long sessions.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. The video is recorded inside your browser and saved straight to your device.
Why is there no sound from my computer?
In Chrome and Edge, share a browser tab and tick “Share tab audio”, or share your entire screen on Windows with “Share system audio”. Mac only allows tab audio.
Can I record on my phone?
No. Phones don't let websites record the screen. Use the screen recorder built into Android or iPhone instead.
Which format is the video?
MP4 where the browser supports it (recent Chrome, Edge and Safari), otherwise WebM, which plays in Chrome, VLC and uploads fine to YouTube.
